Axel Sande is an artist member of The Society of Illustrators, located in NYC and is associated with the Brazilian Society of Graphic Designers.

Since the 80’s, he has been working as a graphic artist for companies in Brazil, Portugal and USA, and for publications like Sports Illustrated, Reader’s Digest and Internet World.

Axel obtained a degree in Art History from the Education International Inc., Wellesley, MA, earned a Bachelor of Art Education from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (UERJ) and a Master's degree in Design from ESDI/UERJ, the oldest design college in South America and one of the best design school in the would, according to the Bloomberg BusinessWeek (published on October 4, 2007).


He has also attended Painting, Composition, Collage and Mixed Media classes on a full-time basis at the Art Students League of New York and at the Central University of Barcelona, Spain, as well as Multimedia design classes at Parsons - The New School for Design.

In 1996, he started his own studio, GABINETE DE ARTES, specialized in illustration, animation and graphic design and obtaining assignments from advertising agencies, publishers, record labels and other art buyers.

The Gabinete de Artes’ list of clients includes EMI Music, Coca-Cola, IBM and McCann-Erickson, not forgetting many important institutions in Brazil as the Brazilian Olympic Comitee.
