Axel Sande is an artist member of The Society of Illustrators, located in NYC and is associated with the Brazilian Society of Graphic Designers.

Since the 80’s, he has been working as a graphic artist for companies in Brazil, Portugal and USA, and for publications like Sports Illustrated, Reader’s Digest and Internet World.

He attended Painting, Composition, Collage and Mixed Media classes on a full-time basis at the Art Students League of New York. He has also studied at the New School of New York, taking Caricature classes with Robert Risco, and at the Central University of Barcelona, Spain.

After studying Visual Communications and Artistic Education in Rio de Janeiro, he obtained a degree in Art History from the Education International Inc., Wellesley, MA.

In 1996, he started his own studio, GABINETE DE ARTES, specialized in illustration, animation and graphic design and obtaining assignments from advertising agencies, publishers, record labels and other art buyers.

The Gabinete de Artes’ list of clients includes EMI Music, Coca-Cola, IBM and McCann-Erickson, not forgetting many important institutions in Brazil as the Brazilian Olympic Comiteé.
